North Street

Street guide, Emsworth

North Street runs northward from the town centre towards the A259 and the residential areas beyond. It has a mixed character, with some commercial premises and community buildings near the town centre end and residential properties further north. The Emsworth Community Centre is located on North Street and provides a venue for clubs, meetings, and events. The street is one of the main routes into the town centre from the north, carrying traffic from the Horndean Road area and the residential streets of North Emsworth. Buildings are a mix of periods, from Georgian townhouses near the centre to later Victorian and twentieth-century development further out. North Street lacks the visual charm of South Street but plays an important functional role in the life of the town.
