Havant Road
Street guide, Emsworth
Havant Road is part of the A259 coast road and runs east from Emsworth town centre towards Havant, the nearest larger town. The road carries a significant volume of traffic and forms the main east-west route through the area. Along the Emsworth section, the road passes through a mix of residential and light commercial areas. Warblington Cemetery is on the southern side of the road, and the Warblington area with its church and castle ruins is accessible from here. The road provides the main connection between Emsworth and Havant, which offers a railway station with direct services to London Waterloo, a town centre with shops and services, and access to the A27 and A3(M). For Emsworth residents, the Havant Road is the everyday route to the wider road network and to the amenities that a town of ten thousand people cannot support on its own.
